About The Position

Earth Systems is actively growing in the Permian Basin and is hiring a driven Environmental Field Professional ready to operate in high-production, oil & gas environments. This role is field-intensive and performance-oriented. You will support active remediation, compliance, and restoration projects while building into project management responsibility. We are looking for professionals who move with urgency, take ownership in the field, and want to grow into leadership. If you’re comfortable around rigs, equipment, excavation crews, and tight schedules, you’ll fit here. This is hands-on, physically demanding field work in heat, wind, dust, and industrial conditions. Expect long days during active project phases and a fast operational pace. This is not a static role. Requirements

  • 2 –5 years of environmental, oilfield, remediation, or construction experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • Strong field presence and ability to manage crews when needed
  • Comfort working in active oil & gas environments
  • High accountability and ability to meet production deadlines
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work extended hours outdoors
  • Candidates must reside within commuting distance of Carlsbad, NM or be willing to relocate prior to start.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER (can be provided)
  • Experience in oilfield remediation or spill response
  • New Mexico regulatory familiarity
  • EIT or GIT certification
  • TWIC card or CDL
  • Experience supporting small project budgets or client coordination

Responsibilities

  • Execute soil and groundwater sampling in active oilfield environments
  • Support excavation oversight, remediation, and site restoration
  • Coordinate with drillers, heavy equipment operators, and subcontractors
  • Track production quantities, field progress, and daily costs
  • Prepare field documentation that supports billing and regulatory reporting
  • Assist with scheduling, budgeting, and task management
  • Communicate directly with clients and field supervisors
  • Travel to regional project sites throughout Southeastern NM and West TX
