About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct geological field investigations, including mapping, sampling, and logging. Analyze rock, soil, groundwater, and geophysical data Prepare technical reports, maps, and cross-sections Support mineral, energy, or environmental exploration projects Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements Perform various field activities on geotechnical projects including, but not limited to, pile load testing, field electrical resistivity testing, and soil logging. Demonstrate thorough understanding of pile load testing (PLT) procedure. Communicate with members of the team on project progress and issues that arise. REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Possess strong communication skills and a positive attitude. Ability to deal with ambiguity, pressure and a variety of field conditions. Experience with data analysis and technical reporting. Strong organization, problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or equivalent required, relevant post-secondary degree in Geology, Earth Science, or a related field preferred. Experience and/or Training Two years’ related experience Licenses/Certificates Driver’s license Technology/Equipment Microsoft Office WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work/Environment Will be a combination of office, field and laboratory environments. Often times will be a jobsite environment which can be outside in all weather conditions and/or tightly enclosed areas and can have uneven walking surfaces. May also be using computer, telephone, other office equipment as needed to perform duties; frequent interruptions throughout day likely.
