The Role Hadean is seeking a Field Engineer with experience in highly technical products to join our expanding team in the US. This is an opportunity to join a growing start-up with a strong reputation and ambitious plans, giving you the chance to play a key role at an early stage as we continue to scale in the US market. As a Field Engineer, you will be responsible for all technical touchpoints across both pre-sales and post-sales engagements. You will work closely with our sales, engineering and product teams to understand mission needs, demonstrate the value of Hadean’s technology, and shape solutions that meet customer objectives. In this role, you will act as the technical voice of the customer within Hadean, ensuring their requirements are clearly understood and reflected in how we evolve and apply our platform. We're looking for someone with strong technical depth who thrives in front of customers and can help bridge the gap between field challenges and product innovation. This role will require you to already have or be able to gain top secret security clearance. You must also be a US national.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.
  • Can effectively work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.
  • Ability to identify and solve technical challenges that may arise during the pre-sales process.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support customer engagements, events and sales activities.
  • Able to demonstrate experience and understanding of distributed and/or federated systems, particularly simulation systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including scoping, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Previous experience of complex technical sales
  • This role will require you to already have or be able to gain top secret security clearance. You must also be a US national.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in modelling and simulation within Defence
  • Experience in one or more of the following programming languages would be advantageous: JavaScript C/C++ Python

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer needs and objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance and recommendations to help customers understand how our solutions can address their challenges.
  • Conduct product demonstrations tailored to the specific needs of prospective clients, whilst showcasing features, functionality and benefits of our products.
  • Design, develop and execute proof of concept projects and demonstrations to validate the effectiveness of our solutions in real world scenarios.
  • Own and manage the creation and submission of statements of work, supporting technical enquiries, product evaluations, and proposal development (including RFIs, RFQs, and similar).
  • Act as the technical voice in the room, ensuring solutions are accurately represented and aligned to customer needs.
  • Work closely with both the product and innovation teams, supplying market feedback to guide the development of the product roadmap.
  • Create, develop, and deploy solution architectures for prospective clients, ensuring alignment with mission needs.
  • Embed directly with customer teams to provide on-site engineering expertise, enabling tailored integration and rapid feedback cycles.
  • Lead deployment and configuration efforts, integrating Hadean’s distributed computing technologies into customer operational environments.
  • Translate core Hadean technology into usable, mission-relevant capabilities that meet operational goals.
  • Adapt and extend Hadean technology to address specific operational, technical, or mission requirements.
  • Partner closely with stakeholders to ensure a mission-focused approach, driving impact and success from day one.
