Field Engineer, Networking - Advanced Network Products

About The Position

As a member of our complex solutions engineering and technical account management team, you will use your networking and product experience to craft, implement, document, test, resolve and deploy Command and Control Network at the edge solutions.

Requirements

3+ years' experience with Cisco Switch/Routers/ASA Firewalls
3+ years' experience in electronics integration, resolution and diagnostics
Proven experience in network design including Layer 2/3 design
Prior experience working with virtualization (ESXi, KVM)
Experience with Linux based systems
Proficient in resolving and tuning component hardware, software, networking and communications protocol problems
Demonstrated expertise in protocol standards such as IPv4, 802.11b/g, GRE, ARP, MPTCP, MPVPN and IPSEC.
Experience training in a formal classroom environment
Excellent verbal and communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical subject area or equivalent experience
CCNA Certification or equivalent experience
Juniper Network Certified Specialist or equivalent experience
US Government position. US Citizenship required
Active DoD Secret Clearance
Ability to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally

Nice To Haves

CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications
3+ years' experience and hands-on knowledge in operating and maintaining military communications systems and their respective subsystems to include military networks, SATCOM, and tactical radio’s
Military Satellite Communications architecture experience
Classified network enclave design, and high-assurance inline network encryptors
Experience with automation scripting (Python, Bash, Ansible, etc.)
Experience with network traffic generators (Spirent, Ixia, etc.)
Knowledge/Experience of cloud platforms: Amazon, Openstack, Microsoft’s Azure, Google Cloud Platform
Domestic and international logistics and exercise planning
CCNA Certification
Juniper Network Certified Specialist certification

Responsibilities

Aid and assist in sophisticated demonstrations for current and future customers
Diagnose and resolve sophisticated problems
Provide critical architecture support
Maintain a variety of network communication protocols
Assist in resolving communication system issues
Architect/integrate new solutions and influence emerging technology to address customer challenges
Collaborate closely with a broad spectrum of program managers, hardware/software/project engineers and various internal support organizations on a regular basis
Research technological advancements and evaluate sophisticated data networking technologies to understand their potential
Travel to participate in demonstrations and field work at customer sites domestically and internationally
Provide training classes on Command and Control Network products to customers
