About The Position

This position provides prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable service to earn members’ and policyholders' trust and satisfaction, while supporting County Farm Bureau operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Obtain and maintain General Lines Property and Casualty license pursuant to Texas law. Must be acquired within 45 days of employment.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 45 WPM with a maximum of 5% errors.
  • Basic knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Effective interpersonal verbal skills, in person and via telephone.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and complete detailed work independently or in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate several tasks at the same time.
  • Willing and able to learn new skills and refine existing skills as needed.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and driving record at the time of hire which would not disqualify the employee from driving for business purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to members and insureds in person, by phone, and through electronic channels. Ensure every interaction reflects the organization’s commitment to excellence in customer care.
  • Assist in promoting and executing the core County Farm Bureau purpose activities. Place high priority on assisting the CFB President and Board members with duties related to the promotion of agriculture, including Board activities and general office and clerical support as directed.
  • Dedicate available time to understanding and mastering material for the General Lines Property and Casualty license exam.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-train in various roles to ensure the seamless completion of daily tasks, especially in the absence of colleagues.
  • Assist the applicant with the membership application.
  • Observe the preparation of daily deposits in accordance with established guidelines and procedures.
  • Review the Delinquent Membership report daily and contact members to assist with membership renewal, updates to membership data, and payment.
  • Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling critical and sensitive information, records, and reports regarding the county, members, and insureds.
  • Discuss with the CAAP Supervisor and, when needed, the Agency Manager, issues, problems, or needs within the county offices.
  • Comply with the Certified Fleet operator requirements of the Driving and Safety Policy.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.
