About The Position

At BFS, the Field Crew Leader is a reliable mentor, who oversees the smooth, efficient, and correct performance of a construction crew(s), while maintaining and upholding commitment to the continuous quality improvement process. This position involves tasks that, if performed under the influence of drugs or alcohol, could expose the team member or others to serious bodily injury. This includes roles requiring the operation of machinery, power tools, working at heights, or driving as a regular job function.

Requirements

At least 2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic mathematical skills
Ability to calculate yard and footages
Ability to solve practical problems
May require a Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day activities of the crew.
Loads and unloads materials from truck onto work site.
Cuts product to specified size, as needed.
Installs parts in specified relationship to each other.
Verifies trueness of structure.
Applies latest building codes, industry standards and company policies in daily work.
Ensure that installations are completed per specifications.
Operate tools, equipment and machinery as required.
Provides training and guidance to less experienced Installers.
Demonstrate a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement.
Identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of all customers.
Participate as a team player in all phases of the organization.
Open and responsive to change.
Personally provide customers with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service at all times.
Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
Adhere to the Company’s safety standards and enforce safety regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
