Through its Vortex Studio platform, CM Labs provides capabilities for training simulators, mission rehearsal, serious games, virtual prototyping, and testing. Today, CM Labs is the leading vendor for simulation-based training in the construction and port industries. With over 1,000 simulators in 30 countries using CM Labs’ simulation technology, our markets are global. Our customers include Honda, Hitachi, Liebherr, NASA, and Volvo. CM Labs is seeking a Field Commissioning Specialist for a permanent position. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and commissioning of simulator hardware and software, as well as providing comprehensive training to customers on operation and maintenance. This is a full-time, travel-intensive role, primarily within the United States, with potential international travel for installations and training as required.

Requirements

  • Technical training with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong customer focus, with experience in customer training and support.
  • Fluent in English;
  • Experience with professional travel; willing to travel internationally (valid driver’s license & passport required).
  • Proficient in computer hardware, software, networking, and Windows OS.
  • Skilled in using voltmeters and other diagnostic tools.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, organized, and strong analytical thinker.

Nice To Haves

  • Spanish proficiency is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and prepare the installation and commissioning of simulators.
  • Travel to client sites for simulator installation and customer training.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot anomalies related to software, mechanical, and electrical components.
  • Provide technical support for simulators and simulation software to customers.
  • Participate in large-scale deployments at customer facilities.
  • Collaborate with customer support teams to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Deliver after-sales service, including installation, configuration, and training support.
  • Maintain a professional company image and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
