About The Position

Field Clinical Engineers provides technical and clinical expertise, educational and field support for the execution of first-in-human and early feasibility clinical trials. The FCE is responsible for working with customers, physicians, clinic staff and HMT staff for the execution of first-in-human and early feasibility clinical trials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Biomedical Engineering, Nursing)
  • 5+ years of related clinical/healthcare or medical device industry experience (neuromodulation experience required).
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively in a clinical setting, with clinicians and patients
  • Strong computer skills with MS office including PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Prior Operating Room (surgical) experience with Class 3 Implantable Devices
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and clinical support during implant procedures, device activation and follow-up visits.
  • Maintain credentials enabling access to assigned hospitals and clinics.
  • Provide technical leadership and education in assigned region to account clinical staff.
  • Provide post-training follow-up including procedural reviews, in servicing and support.
  • Assist customers in device troubleshooting. Collaborate with HMT Clinical, R&D on appropriate training/support for targeted patients.
  • Stay current on relevant scientific publications and clinical evidence.
