About The Position

Persistent Systems is seeking a Field Applications Lead to join our team in Pinehurst, NC. You will be responsible for managing the Pinehurst, NC field applications team in the Field Operations department. The team supports internal and external engineering demonstrations, development testing, assisting with systems integrations, providing on and off-site customer support, customer trainings, and building relationships with prospective clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience (5+ years of working in relevant field)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to obtain U.S. Government Secret security clearance
  • At least 2 years of Wave Relay integration experience
  • Served in a supervisory role with direct reports, either at Persistent or at another company or organization
  • Strong knowledge of competing radios systems, waveforms, and trends in wireless communications
  • Experience presenting to large groups, including customers, and proven ability to adapt presentations to technical level of audience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Power Point and Excel
  • Must be willing to travel 50% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Manage the applications function within the Pinehurst, NC field operations department, including supervising direct reports in meeting individual and functional objectives
  • Supervise multiple and simultaneous technical projects and events, while reporting to the Director of Field Application Engineering located in NYC
  • Plan, execute and report on field applications events, demonstrations and testing as directed
  • Coordinate with local sales and program engineers across the company to provide direct applications engineering support
  • Onboard, mentor and guide junior FAE's on the Applications Pinehurst, NC team, providing both technical and professional development
  • Regular travel to event locations and customer sites to directly support and manage testing, evaluation, and deployment of Wave Relay
  • Manage and create engineering tasks, such as defining requirements, building test plans, analyzing data, and creating technical reports
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Director of Field Application Engineering
  • Hold regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports as well as weekly Site Manager meetings
