About The Position

The Fidelity Specialist and Data Lead will conduct all aspects of quality assurance and EBP fidelity reviews conducted by WICHE and additional responsibilities as the program’s Data Lead. WICHE reviews fidelity of evidence-based practices as implemented by community providers in accordance with SAMHSA standardized fidelity tools and state-specific tools. The review process determines providers’ adherence to EBP standards and identifies future support needs of the providers. This position may be based in Phoenix, Arizona, or the Denver Metro area (office located in Boulder, CO). Under the supervision of the Fidelity Review Program Manager, the Fidelity Specialist and Data Lead will be responsible for evaluating providers of the four EBPs in Arizona and other states. After undergoing professional training with subject matter experts on the four EBPs and the fidelity review process, the Fidelity Specialist will operate as part of a team and perform all duties required to conduct fidelity reviews and the required reporting according to the SAMHSA standards or state-specific tools. The Specialist will make recommendations for maintaining SAMHSA EBP standards and improving practices to create a culture of quality that is consistent with the system’s strategic framework. In the role of Data Lead, this position will work closely with the Fidelity Review Program Manager and will lead the development and utilization of data tracking systems. This position will also lead the development of reports and other communication regarding fidelity review program outcomes, including data analysis and data visualization. The ideal candidate for this position will have a high level of self-confidence, integrity, working flexibility, a passion for behavioral health, strong communication skills, and knowledge of data tracking systems, data analysis, and data visualization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum four years’ direct practice experience serving individuals with a Serious Mental Illness (SMI) AND/OR four years’ experience working in a quality assurance role for a community-based mental health system or hospital.
  • Familiarity or working knowledge of SAMHSA evidence-based practices, specifically Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), Supported Employment (SE), Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), and Consumer-Operated Services Programs (COSP).
  • Prior fidelity review or quality improvement and reporting experience and familiarity with motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Data analytics certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience creating data visualizations for marketing, communication, and/or other reports.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods.
  • Industry knowledge of Project Management standards and practices.
  • Industry knowledge of Quality Assurance standards and practices.
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels (e.g., CEO, Director, practitioner, client).
  • Self-starter who works well with minimal supervision and within a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Aptitude for conducting interviews and observations in an impartial, objective manner.
  • Computer proficiency, including the ability to use email, Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and to effectively navigate within electronic health records.
  • Ability to write reports independently, documenting services and findings in a clear and effective manner.
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a team, adopt a team approach, and be a reliable and punctual team member.

  • Knowledge of and/or experience working in community-based substance use service provider systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and actively participate in the fidelity/quality assurance review process of evidence-based practices for multiple clients.
  • Organize and schedule on-site and/or virtual visits, conduct interviews with stakeholders, review data and health records, evaluate findings, and write comprehensive reports.
  • Review and edit team members’ reports and documentation.
  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with team members and stakeholders, including actively participating in team meetings, conference calls, and other communications necessary to complete the work.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on the four EBPs and fidelity review tools for entire organization, providing updates and communications as requested.
  • As requested, partner with program delivery teams to prepare action plans for fidelity improvement.
  • Promote a constructive workplace culture within the fidelity review team and throughout the BHP.
  • Collaboratively work within BHP to conduct other duties as assigned.
  • Develop and implement systems for tracking data from fidelity reviews to inform continuous quality improvement efforts, training and technical assistance, and end-of-year reporting.
  • Analyze data and provide recommendations to Director of Program Evaluation, Research, Fidelity Review Program Manager, and other project partners to inform areas for continuous quality improvement efforts and training and technical assistance.
  • Develop and implement training for fidelity review staff on systems for tracking data from fidelity reviews.
  • Oversee fidelity review work processes related to fidelity review data tracking systems.
  • Utilize consultation with Program Manager, Data Lead, and Director when appropriate, and provide feedback about areas for staff development.
  • Provide quarterly reports of data from fidelity reviews to the fidelity review team and project partners.
  • Lead the development of end-of-year reports, including development of data visualizations, interpreting results, drafting recommendations, and report writing.
  • Analyze data and create data visualizations for marketing, communication, research, and other reports (e.g. PowerPoints, handouts, research papers, white papers, etc.).
  • Develop a one page, annual summary of program outcomes to communicate with current or prospective project partners.
  • Other duties as assigned related to data collection and analysis, reporting, data visualization, etc.
