About The Position

We have an opportunity for Fiber Placement Techs to join our team! No experience required. Must be able to travel in our region, as needed. Until a full crew is hired, new hires will travel to Colorado to work with our CO team. Hotel and food per diem are provided. Must be dependable, have a good driving record, and be drug free. Pay depends on level of experience and competency. Once full crew is established, transportation will also be provided Ability to learn the Fiber Optic trade on-the-job What you’ll do: Install Fiber Optic cables using various techniques Install new network facilities Install new network facilities for Carrier network, Fiber to the Cell Tower Businesses, and Residential How do you know if you are qualified: You are at least 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, and have a valid driver's license. You're able to travel throughout our region (NE/KS/CO) is a requirement for this position. Hotels are provided, and daily food per diem included. You’re able to perform labor-intensive tasks requiring frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, lifting, digging, pushing, and pulling and you can lift 100 pounds. Experience with fiber blowing optic equipment (GMP and CONDUX) would be a plus Experience with operation of hydraulic Fiber Optic Pulling Capstans would be a plus You can work outside in all elements You have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law. You have an eye for detail and a desire to excel
