About The Position

Essential Functions Install and configure cable systems, including internet, television, and phone services. Place aerial and underground cable to connect customer premises. Install enclosures such as pedestals, handholes, vaults, and related infrastructure components. Mark and label facilities to identify and trace wiring. Assist with or perform fiber‑optic splicing, testing, and repairs. Perform general construction labor, including transporting equipment and installing cables using trenching, plowing, or boring techniques. Conduct signal testing and troubleshooting to ensure optimal service performance. Restore landscapes and work areas after project completion. Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they remain organized and in good working condition. Complete required paperwork and accurately document all work performed. Provide support to senior-level installers when needed. Follow all safety guidelines, protocols, and industry standards (e.g., OSHA, NESC). Deliver excellent customer service by explaining services, answering questions, and providing equipment instructions. Perform other duties as assigned. Top Skills Basic understanding of telecommunications products and services, including fiber‑optic and copper facilities. Familiarity with cable installation tools and equipment (e.g., fiber‑optic splicers, cleavers, strippers, trenching equipment). Valid driver’s license.
