This position is for a FI$Cal Senior Project Manager, offered on a 2-year base term with an option to extend for an additional year. The role requires extensive experience in applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools, particularly within large and complex IT projects. A significant part of the role involves leading State of California agencies through the entire lifecycle of FI$Cal system implementation, including onboarding, go-live, and post-implementation activities. The Senior PM will be responsible for managing or supporting system transitions related to statewide financial Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and the FI$Cal system. Key aspects of the role include facilitating stakeholder alignment, managing organizational change, conducting meetings, and providing updates. The position also involves initiating and executing comprehensive project management plans, which encompass creating and monitoring schedules, work breakdown structures, and risk/issue tracking with resolution support. Furthermore, the Senior PM will coordinate support for Standard Operating Procedures and knowledge transfer, and handle strategic planning, consulting, workload, and budget management. Experience with application integration, upgrade testing oversight, and accounting system-related integration and reporting is also crucial.
