About The Position

The Lawn Care Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of lawn care operations, including managing a team of lawn care technicians, scheduling services, and ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. This role involves supervising staff, managing client relationships, and ensuring that all lawn care services are delivered efficiently and effectively. The Lawn Care Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the health and appearance of lawns for residential, commercial, and public properties. This role is year round with snow responsibilities in the winter months.

Requirements

Effective communication skills - must be able to carry out verbal instructions.
Time management skills.
Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices.
Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
Pesticides License from NH and Massachusetts.
Minimum one-year fertilizer/pesticide application experience.
DOT Medical Card or able to obtain within 30 days of hire.
Valid driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

Leads and supervises a team of lawn care technicians, providing instruction, guidance, and support to ensure efficient and effective performance.
Assigns daily tasks to crew members, such as mowing, fertilizing, aerating, seeding, and weed control, based on client requirements and priorities.
Develops work schedules and priorities in collaboration with management to ensure that lawn care services are delivered on time and within budget.
Ensures that all lawn care services meet quality standards and specifications. Conduct inspections and provide feedback to crew members to maintain high-quality results.
Communicates with clients to understand their lawn care needs and preferences. Address any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
Oversees the maintenance and operation of lawn care equipment and machinery. Ensure that equipment is used safely and properly maintained.
Enforces safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries. Provide training on safe work practices and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Manages inventory of lawn care supplies, materials, and products. Order supplies as needed and maintain accurate records of inventory.
Trains new staff on lawn care techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures. Provide ongoing coaching and support to enhance skills and performance.
Identifies and addresses any issues or challenges that arise during lawn care operations, such as equipment malfunctions, weather-related delays, or pest infestations.
Maintains accurate records of work activities, including service schedules, client interactions, and equipment maintenance. Prepare reports on crew performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Provides excellent customer service to clients, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Conducts regular assessments of lawns to identify maintenance needs, pest infestations, irrigation issues, or areas for improvement. Develop and implement plans to address issues and enhance the health and appearance of lawns.
Performs other duties as assigned.
