About The Position
A Fence Erector is responsible for constructing fences and related structures, such as gates, posts, and other components, using a variety of materials, including wood, metal, and vinyl. They may also be responsible for repairing or maintaining existing structures. Fence Erectors must be knowledgeable of safety regulations and local building codes. The purpose of a fence erector is to install, repair, and maintain fences and other related structures. This may involve digging holes and setting posts, attaching panels or boards, and securing the fence to the posts. Fence erectors must be knowledgeable in a variety of fence types, including chain link, wooden, vinyl, and wrought iron, and must be aware of local building codes and regulations that may apply to the installation of fences. A Fence Erector is responsible for constructing fences and other related structures. They measure, cut, and assemble materials to build fences, railings, and other similar structures. Fence Erectors must possess a strong knowledge of carpentry, welding, and other related construction skills. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints, have strong problem-solving and communication skills, and work safely in all types of conditions. Fence Erectors must also be able to complete projects within the specified timeframe and budget.

Responsibilities
- Assemble and install prefabricated fences and gates
- Measure and cut materials to specified sizes
- Dig postholes and set posts for fences
- Check for plumb and level of posts and gates
- Attach boards, pickets, and other components to posts
- Treat or paint fences for protection against weather and pests
- Maintain equipment and tools
