This position is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and essential to maintaining a safe, clean, and productive environment for both cattle and crew.

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situation.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to stand; walk; sit; use hands/fingers to handle, manipulate, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Ability to work in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
Ability to work near moving mechanical parts.
Ability to work in pens with animals present.

Responsibilities

Maintain clean, sanitary facilities by cleaning pens, scales, feed bunks, water tanks, drains, and troughs to support animal health and welfare.
Perform routine repairs and general maintenance across the feedlot, helping keep equipment and infrastructure in reliable working condition.
Operate the water truck to ensure proper livestock hydration and assist with dust control throughout the yard.
Support daily operations by completing additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow.
