About The Position

Maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, perform preventative maintenance and install equipment within and around the facilities so as to keep the production operational and to ensure a safe operation of machinery, equipment, physical structures, piping and electrical systems in the Feed Mill.

Requirements

  • Must have High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-years of related technical college or trade school
  • 5-years experience in automated production equipment
  • 2-years welding and electrical experience
  • Good Attendance
  • Ability to work in all types of adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to work at heights 200+ feet
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, dusty environments
  • Must be willing to be on call outside of designated work hours
  • Must be able to work on some Holidays

Responsibilities

  • Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
  • Dismantle machines and Move machines and equipment.
  • Required to be trained as a mill operator
  • Assembles and installs equipment, such as shafting, conveyors and pelleting equipment
  • Will be assigned to a specific area in the feed mill for housekeeping
  • Will be trained to be a Forklift Operator and Shuttle Wagon Operator
  • Clean, lubricate and repair Feed Mill machinery
  • Routinely will perform welding, adjustment and component replacement of milling equipment
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance on Feed Mill equipment
  • Coordinate with Feed Mill Manager about repairs and maintenance
  • Perform inspections as required
  • Keep accurate and organized records of maintenance work performed
  • Perform daily inspections on boilers and steam operation system and keeping accurate, organized records.
  • Knowledge of and will be trained on LOTO Procedures and Confined Space Entry
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment on all jobs
