About The Position

Work-Study positions are federally funded, part-time positions. Each position will have a specific set of responsibilities that will be explained during the interview process. We're seeking motivated students who are eager to join the Ivy Tech team! Job Description/Responsibilities Provide technical support and assistance to faculty, staff and students in the School of Information Technology. ·Responsible for the installation and maintenance of lab computers, including inventory and organization of equipment. · Provide assistance in setting up computers, and support of computer hardware and software in the School of IT Lab. · Provide assistance for personal computer and network setup, configuration, testing, installation, troubleshooting, and support. · Provide assistance with classroom resources and devices. · Assist in special project completion and IT competitions. · Provides support to School of IT student clubs and groups. · Peer tutoring of School of IT students. · Be willing and able to work independently sometimes. · Answer department phones promptly in a professional manner and greet in-person students/visitors. To Qualify for our Federal Work Study program students: Must be authorized to work in the United States • Must have a high school diploma or GED. • Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours each semester. • Students must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress as determined by the Financial Aid Office. • Students must have a current and completed FAFSA on file. • Student must demonstrate financial need. Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
