About The Position

Crowe is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Tax Manager to join their Lead Tax Services team. This role is for a seasoned professional who will lead multiple client service teams, manage complex projects, and provide innovative tax solutions. As a key member of the Lead Tax group, the individual will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, a mentor to staff and managers, and a thought leader to the partner group. This position offers the opportunity to influence firm strategy, build long-term client relationships, and drive excellence in service delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
  • Active CPA license required
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or a corporate/public blend
  • Proven success in engagement and client management, with a track record of growing and sustaining client relationships
  • Strong estate, gift, and trust planning experience, with the ability to provide high-level consulting and technical research on EGT matters
  • Excellent writing, communication, and tax research skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a passion for mentoring, developing, and guiding high-performing teams

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s in Taxation or LLM strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee multiple client service teams, managing projects effectively and efficiently, including billing and accounts receivable responsibilities
  • Provide specialized consulting, analysis, and research on estate, gift, and trust planning matters, ensuring clients receive sophisticated guidance on complex EGT issues
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and anticipating client needs
  • Provide forward-thinking tax planning strategies, compliance expertise, and technical tax research
  • Prepare and review detailed technical tax memoranda
  • Identify and manage risks associated with tax services to ensure compliance and protect client and firm interests
  • Mentor and develop staff and managers, providing regular feedback and conducting both formal and informal performance evaluations
  • Serve as a resource and thought partner to the leadership team, contributing to strategic decision-making and client service excellence
