About The Position

Our Financial Management professionals help our clients in Defense and National Security optimize all elements of their financial management structure by transforming business processes, enhancing operational efficiency, improving transparency and performance management, promoting change management, and complying with Federal laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse. Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.
  • Bachelors Degree
  • SIX (6) years of experience in federal financial management, analytics, automation, or technology deliveries

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting DFAS, DoD Comptroller/CFO Act organizations, or federal audit remediation
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Advana/WDP, ERPs, DDRS, Databricks/Lakehouse, AI/ML concepts, and automation tools
  • Experience operating in IL5/FedRAMP‑High environments with an understanding of data governance frameworks
  • Relevant professional certifications such as CPA, PMP, SAFe Scrum Master, CDFM, CGFM, cloud, or analytics certifications
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing client‑facing projects
  • Strong expertise in data analysis, financial reporting, or process modernization
  • The ability to clearly communicate complex technical or financial topics to senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams supporting DFAS financial reporting modernization, automation, and AI/analytics implementations
  • Oversee development of analytic products, reconciliations, data pipelines, dashboards, or automation workflows
  • Translate DFAS mission needs into technical and functional requirements for AI‑enabled solutions
  • Manage workstreams addressing key DFAS pain points (JVs, IGT, Treasury reporting, variance analysis, etc.)
  • Drive agile ceremonies: backlog refinement, sprint planning, feature decomposition, and stakeholder reviews
  • Mentor junior staff, ensure quality delivery, and coordinate with client leadership
  • Contribute to governance, documentation, auditability, and change‑management efforts
