Website: https://www.mileoneinc.com Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/MileOneInc/ Job Summary Community Work-Study Program The Community Work-Study Program (CWS) provides federal financial aid eligible students the opportunity to work part-time at non-profit organizations that serve the public interest. Goals of this program include: Develop interest in public service through employment with TAMIU and be assigned to local non-profit, government, or community-based organizations. Apply skills and theories gained through coursework to solve problems and explore issues outside the classroom. Enhance career competencies, such as critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and leadership. Articulate how experiences will shape personal, academic, and professional pursuits.

Requirements

• Enrolled at least half-time, 6 credit hours per semester for undergraduate and 3 credit hours per semester for graduates.
• Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduates students.
• Must have a current and complete file with the Office of Financial Aid.
• Must demonstrate financial need by submitting a FAFSA application annually.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, or permanent residence, or has an alien registration number.an eligible non-citizen.
• Must meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU’s Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanor.
• A keen interest in economic development, business growth, and entrepreneurship.
• Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with marketing tools and social media is a plus.

• Work schedules are created by the department based on departmental needs but ensure it does not conflict with class schedule.
• Promptly complete all required training.

• All positions are security-sensitive. • Undergraduate student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours per semester of college-level courses or accepted remedial courses.
• International undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 12 semester credit hours to meet the federal immigration guidelines.
• Must maintain a 2.0 TAMIU overall GPA.
• Graduate students must be enrolled in at least 3 credit hours per semester.
• International graduate students must enroll in 9 semester credit hours in order to meet the federal immigration guidelines.
• Must maintain a 3.0 TAMIU overall GPA.
• Students who will be graduating may enroll for less than half time for their final semester. Must submit proof of graduation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of coworking and office spaces, ensuring a professional and supportive environment for clients.
• Support the development and execution of business growth and startup initiatives, including workshops, seminars, and networking events.
• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide them with relevant resources and guidance.
• Contribute to marketing and communication efforts, helping to promote MileOne’s services and success stories.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, data entry, and report preparation, to ensure smooth program operations.
