About The Position

The Family Empowerment Center (FEC) Engagement Manager directly supervises Philly Families CAN (PFCAN) Case Managers, collaborates with FEC Case Managers/Social Workers to effectively assess children needs through month specific assessments (ASQ), and leads efforts to expand FEC client engagement and partnerships. This position provides administrative support to the Director of Prevention Services and FEC Program Managers, as needed, and supervises FEC interns. This position occasionally requires availability after 5pm on weekdays or on the weekends to support staff with clients in emergency situations and to attend special community events.   This position reports to the Director of Prevention Services. This is a Hybrid position with onsite work conducted at Congreso’s main office and in the community.   The FEC Engagement Manager applies the principles of the organization’s signature service delivery approach, Primary Client Model (PCM™), by promoting a positive employee/client-focused experience that is appreciative of the unique strengths, values and needs that each individual brings; and by using data to inform and drive decision making. Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Congreso’s mission, values, DEI&B vision, Mission2Impact, Primary Client Model, programs, and services.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the community needs and demographics.
  • Ability to understand, acknowledge, and assess client needs to provide a timely, trauma informed approach in service.
  • Ensures the appropriate handling of sensitive information and understanding for issues such as confidentiality, domestic abuse, child abuse, and mandated reporter requirements.
  • Adheres to all Congreso, departmental, programmatic, and security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Attends all Congreso trainings and in-services as required, including relevant professional groups to maintain professional, requisite knowledge and licensure.
  • Attends, participates, and facilitates relevant staff meetings to promote communication and execution of goals.
  • Ability to effectively use standard office equipment, including a variety of common software programs such as Office365, UNIDAD, and other customized databases.
  • Follows through on assignments, works in a timely manner, within established deadlines, and completes special projects specific to the function of the department, as needed or as directed by supervisor.
  • Demonstrates ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups, in a compassionate, courteous, and respectful manner that fosters an inclusive environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including effective and respectful communication with individuals and groups.
  • Master’s degree in social work or LSW, required.
  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience required.
  • Mandated Reporter training certificate required and may be completed post hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) written and verbal skills is a plus.
  • A minimum of 1-year supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Represents Congreso’s mission, values, and commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging and will be an ambassador of our work.
  • Directly supervises PFCAN Case Managers, ensuring adherence to FEC standards for program delivery.
  • Collaborates with the Health Department and DHS on PFCAN cases and reports.
  • Collaborates with FEC Case Managers/Social Workers to identify children 0-5 years old in need of an ASQ Assessment.
  • Reviews and monitors the compliance of ASQ assessments ensuring support is offered by coordinating to complete ASQ’s for FEC case managers during a home visit or office visit.
  • Takes the lead in making referrals based on ASQ results for families.
  • Assists case managers with developing family service plans and referring children to appropriate services based on the outcomes of development assessments.
  • Provides ongoing training support for case managers on FEC assessment tools and reviews for accuracy, as needed.
  • Safeguards the confidentiality of families and adhere to the NASW Code of Ethics.
  • Promptly reports all conflicts among families or services incidents involving families within 24 hours of the incident.
  • Assists case managers with maintaining client records according to funder regulations.
  • Assists with the supervision of BSW and MSW Interns.
  • Plans family socialization activities for program participants, a minimum of 1 event/workshop per month.
  • Creates quarterly newsletters and submits quarterly data to be included in the FEC Quarterly Report.
  • Increases the efficiency of internal referrals by connecting with other Congreso programs.
  • Builds community partnerships with local organizations to improve successful referrals, gain additional resources to be distributed to FEC families, and collaborate on joint initiatives or events.
  • Creates and maintains the Parent Advisory Council (PAC) with/for FEC families to get input on services, workshops, and events and increase client engagement. Streamlines the HR volunteer packet process for Council volunteers.
  • Conducts aftercare phone calls to clients who have completed the program to follow-up on pending referrals and get program feedback.
  • Participates actively in team meetings and all DHS related meetings, policy groups, committees, etc.
  • Is responsible for representation at conferences and other events/training.
