About The Position

Tallahassee State College is thrilled to announce a full -time, grant-funded opening for the position of FCDI Program Manager with Florida Department of Education (FDOE). We are looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant workplace community. As an FCDI Program Manager you’ll play a key role in creating access and opportunities for all students to have the best civics education including curriculum, speech and debate programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. A combination of education and experience may substitute for the required degree
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Positive and professional attitude
• Willingness to take on any project and learn new things
• Time management
• Organizational skills
• Self-motivation

Nice To Haves

• Leadership and coaching experience in speech and debate (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assists with local, regional and annual state and national debate competition planning, and post tournament activities
• Maintains accurate lists of participating programs, district and school contacts
• Creates and maintains FCDI calendar of events and shares calendar with FEF staff and participating programs
• Presents the Florida Civics & Debate Initiative mission and programs in a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders
