About The Position

S. Clyde Weaver has one farmer's market retail position available at our stand in the New Eastern Market in York, PA. The work hours are Thursdays 3-4 hours (9AM - Noon) and Fridays - full day 9-11 hour shift. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-2 years of retail experience desired
• Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Positive and friendly attitude
• Reliable and punctual
• Must be able to lift 30 pounds

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in an engaging and professional manner
• Maintain current and thorough knowledge of all available products
• Differentiate between products, helping customers compare and contrast flavors, textures, parings, etc.
• Answer all customer questions and address concerns
• Make helpful suggestions that will be useful to the customer
• Handle all transactions with accuracy
• Make every effort to ensure the customer has an excellent shopping experience
• Train/operate food service equipment (slicer, chipper, etc.)
