Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to and from assigned farm
  • Must be able to work every other weekend and holidays
  • 9th grade math level, reading and writing skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • No performance work actions in the last 6 months
  • No attendance work actions in the last 6 months
  • PHYSICAL: Able to lift to 70 pounds from floor to waist occasionally
  • Able to wear eye and respiratory protection equipment continually
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions cold & hot
  • No restrictions on lifting, bending or standing

Nice To Haves

  • Valid driver's license with a good record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years farm experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily farm activities/chores associated with caring for breeder turkeys, hatching eggs, farm equipment as outlined and described in dept. operating manuals
  • Help employees with safety, productivity and cost control by providing personal involvement in farm management and operating decisions/problem solving
  • Responsible for accurate accounting and record keeping for eggs packed, eggs culled, cooler temperatures, humidities internal egg temperatures
