About The Position

We are looking for a Farm Team Lead to join our Agricultural Solutions business supporting our Vegetable Seeds team in Acampo, California. Come create chemistry with us! Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a closely related field (required)
  • Have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in farming, agriculture, and crop management (required)
  • Have at least 3 years’ managerial experience (required)
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and follow-up skills (required)
  • Possess strong digital and technical skills (required)
  • Have knowledge of farm equipment operation (tractors, sprayers, etc.) and maintenance (required)
  • Have expertise in crop management and seed production, including crop protection, irrigation, and fertilization (required)
  • Are solution‑oriented, detail‑oriented, and bring an innovative mindset (required)
  • Are fluent in English and Spanish (required)
  • Are able to travel up to 10% (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Have an understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) and RC (Responsible Care) principles and regulations (preferred)
  • Have vegetable growing or seed production experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Managing personnel involved in crop management
  • Procuring seasonal and contracted workforce for operations
  • Overseeing agricultural operations in open fields, net houses, and greenhouses
  • Building strong relationships with internal clients through regular discussions and field visits to ensure optimal service
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of new technologies
  • Participating in planning and monitoring the Farm OpEx budget and proactively communicating discrepancies to supervisors
  • Keeping detailed operational and compliance recordsEnsuring adherence to global EHS, RC implementation standards, hygiene protocols, and local regulations
  • Following company procedures for asset management and maintaining a planned maintenance schedule
  • Collaborating with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with BASF procedures
