About The Position

We are looking for a Farm Team Lead to join our Agricultural Solutions business supporting our Vegetable Seeds team in Acampo, California. Come create chemistry with us! Requirements

Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or a closely related field (required)
Have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in farming, agriculture, and crop management (required)
Have at least 3 years’ managerial experience (required)
Demonstrate excellent communication and follow-up skills (required)
Possess strong digital and technical skills (required)
Have knowledge of farm equipment operation (tractors, sprayers, etc.) and maintenance (required)
Have expertise in crop management and seed production, including crop protection, irrigation, and fertilization (required)
Are solution‑oriented, detail‑oriented, and bring an innovative mindset (required)
Are fluent in English and Spanish (required)
Are able to travel up to 10% (required)

Nice To Haves

Have an understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environmental) and RC (Responsible Care) principles and regulations (preferred)
Have vegetable growing or seed production experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

Managing personnel involved in crop management
Procuring seasonal and contracted workforce for operations
Overseeing agricultural operations in open fields, net houses, and greenhouses
Building strong relationships with internal clients through regular discussions and field visits to ensure optimal service
Contributing to the development and implementation of new technologies
Participating in planning and monitoring the Farm OpEx budget and proactively communicating discrepancies to supervisors
Keeping detailed operational and compliance recordsEnsuring adherence to global EHS, RC implementation standards, hygiene protocols, and local regulations
Following company procedures for asset management and maintaining a planned maintenance schedule
Collaborating with vendors and contractors to ensure compliance with BASF procedures
