About The Position

Are you reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to work in a practical, outdoor environment with livestock? Sofina Foods is looking for motivated individuals to join our Outdoor Pig Farming Operations in the Inverness area. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys physical work and is open to learning. While experience in agriculture is an advantage, it’s not essential – we’ll provide comprehensive training to help you thrive in your role. Due to the rural locations of our farms, having your own transport is essential.

Requirements

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• A self-starter with good reliability and timekeeping
• Open to learning new skills and working as part of a supportive team
• Able to travel to remote sites independently

Nice To Haves

• Agricultural experience is helpful but not required – we’ll help you build the knowledge and skills you need.

Responsibilities

• Working with pigs on an outdoor unit, including feeding, moving, serving, and handling the pigs.
• Working as part of a team to maintain and uphold the highest standards of animal welfare.
• Following Health and Safety procedures and to support management in fostering a positive safety culture.
• Maintaining the overall appearance and condition of the farm.
• Safely and effectively operating farm machinery.
