About The Position
Weekend Direct Care Farm & Greenhouse Recovery Support Staff - Part Time Weekend Support Staff responsibilities include all farm chores for the plants and animals on the weekends: feeding, watering, farm landscaping projects. This position will also engage residents if they are interested in helping with chores on the weekend. Location: Mill Spring, NC
Requirements
- At least 21 years or older to operation CooperRiis vehicles and equipment and to be covered under CooperRiis Insurance
- Experience working on a farm or garden setting
- Ability to work in various weather, be moving, lifting, and bending for extended periods of time, and lift up to 50 pounds consistently
- Ability to operate farm machinery such as tractors, large mowers
Responsibilities
- Feed, water, and take care of all animals on the farm (chickens, ponies, sheep, dogs, rabbits, cats, geese, ducks, and goats)
- Water the greenhouses and check heating/cooling systems are functioning properly
- Handle all garden chores
- Working on landscaping projects for the properties
- Engage residents interested in helping with the chores
