About The Position

The Family Worker will work one on one with families to determine needs, set goals and find appropriate resources. The Family Worker is responsible for scheduling home visits, conferences, as well as assisting the director with daily administrative tasks. Requirements

College degree preferred or 5 years’ experience in related field
Experience working with community and families
Proficient in MS Office
Maintain strict confidentiality within the program and exhibit the utmost respect towards family personal information
Strong Interpersonal skills and patience
Ability to perform activities which require sustained concentration and attention
Possess a passion for member service, building and maintaining a culture of member service excellence

Responsibilities

Perform family intakes, actively listen to families to determine needs, crisis intervention, community resource referrals and follow-up with the families in accessing services to determine appropriate needs are being met
Establish positive relationships with families being served
Calendar Management to include coordinating all aspects of conferences, confirming dates and times, and inputting information into the appropriate monthly calendars
Input all family information into database to insure accurate reports, and maintain accurate and up to date enrollment files on all enrolled families
Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director and manage overall operations and personnel of the center in Director’s absence
Participate in community outreach and resource sharing events in order to educate and expand knowledge of services within the community
Perform other related duties as assigned.
