About The Position

Get to know Thompson! Thompson was founded in 1886 as an orphanage and has grown into an organization operating across the Carolinas, Florida, Tennessee and Kentucky. Thompson’s continuum of care encompasses three domains: prevention, mental health services and foster care. As a Family Support Worker in the Florida Case Management Organization (CMO) department, you will provide transportation of youth to/from out-of-home care placements, to/from school, and to/from visits. Family Support Workers also supervise parent visits. A typical day as a Family Support Worker will include managing crises, de-escalating youth and adults, and driving. As a Family Support Worker, a large amount of time is spent face-to-face with high-needs teenagers, transporting them. Work hours vary based on shift and client demand, and an on-call schedule for nights and weekends is required. What does this position offer? Requirements

High School diploma/GED required; A.A. preferred
Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite application software.
Must have a reliable vehicle/transportation
A valid driver’s license
Must meet any credentialing, licensing, and privileging standards as they pertain to the department
All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening test, and an extensive background check is required.
