About The Position

As a Family Support Specialist (FSS), you will work with children/youth ages newborn to 17 who are in foster care or transitioning back into the home, and their foster and birth families, or caregivers. In this position, you will work with the client and involved parties in the community and in their homes to conduct an initial intake and create, implement and assess the child’s treatment plan for services to successfully transition. Services will include linking the child/youth and their family with community resources, educating the families and client on behavior management techniques, providing parenting skills training, and encouraging the foster and birth families to co-parent and transition the child/youth successfully. Perks of this role: Eligibility for a monthly productivity incentive of up to $500 Flexible schedule Mileage reimbursement Does the following apply to you? 18 years of age or older One of the following: High School Diploma or Equivalent AND a minimum of two (2) years’ of experience working with kids/youth and their families ; OR Associate’s Degree in a Human Service field i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Counseling etc . Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
