About The Position

The job of Family Support Specialist (Early Childhood) is done for the purpose/s of meeting the Head Start Performance Standards and District 65 expectations; ensuring full enrollment in Head Start programs; providing families with support and referral services; encouraging parents to be a part of their children's education; and ensuring active participation of Head Start families in the Head Start policy council, parent committees, and family trainings.

Requirements

  • Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required
  • Experience in Head Start program preferred
  • BA degree in Human Services
