About The Position

Devereux Arizona’s Community Based Services are designed to provide rapid, intensive, in-home support in the critical days/weeks following a crisis. Services include intensive, one-on-one in-home support, crisis and safety planning, family support and coaching, behavior management, and coordinating with community supports. We are looking for talented individuals who have experience working in behavioral health, with families and at-risk youth, to be a positive role model and have an impact on our families! The Family Support Coordinator (Crisis Support Coordinator) works one-to-one with youth between the ages of 2-17, in a natural setting: home, school, group home, foster care, or kinship placement. Staff work with a caseload of 3-5 individuals, teaching essential life and emotional regulation skills, behavior reduction, anger management, coping with trauma-related behaviors, and communication techniques to help youth succeed at home, in school and in the community. Other job duties include working with the Child/Family Team, intakes, case management, and chart maintenance/documentation. We provide mileage reimbursement, work equipment (phone and laptop), and work schedule based on the individual/family needs. Pay Range: $21 - $23.10 / hr Full Time Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday; ability to work afternoons/nights (as late as 8:30pm) Ability to commute throughout Pima County utilizing your own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement)

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalency; Bachelors degree preferred
  • High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma at least four (4) years of full time behavioral health work experience; OR: Has a high school diploma or equivalency diploma and a combination of education in a field related to behavioral health and full time behavioral health work experience totaling at least two (2) years; OR: Has an Associate's degree and at least two (2) years of full time behavioral health work experience; OR: Has a Bachelor's degree and at least one (1) year of full time behavioral health work experience
  • Ability to commute throughout Pima County utilizing your own vehicle (with mileage reimbursement)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older (per licensing standards)
  • Valid Arizona Driver's License & pass DMV 36-month history check
  • Drug test within 24hrs of offer w/ negative results
  • Pre-employment Physical and Job Demand Assessment
  • Must be available to attend two (2) weeks of new hire orientation (paid, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5pm) plus 2-3 weeks of on the job training
  • Current AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card with no restrictions ( or eligibility to obtain with no restrictions). Arizona Revised Statutes Notice (ARS 36-411 Residential care institutions; nursing care institutions; home health agencies; fingerprinting requirements; exemptions; definitions). If a person's employment record contains a six-month or longer time frame during which the person was not employed by any employer, a completed application with a new set of fingerprints shall be submitted to the department of public safety.
