About The Position

The Family Support Advocate assists families to identify and attain goals via the Family Partnership Agreement or assists families with other expressed needs. Under the direction of the Center Manager, assists families to identify and attain goals via the Family Partnership Agreement. In addition to ensuring that families have access to needed services, the Family Support Advocate and Center Manager will work cooperatively to ensure the effective operation of the center. Must possess knowledge of principles of case management Must possess excellent communications skills Must possess the ability to operate a business computer Must possess the ability to travel among center locations and make home visits. Must possess the ability to work some weekends and evenings Must possess knowledge of community services and human service agencies Must possess the ability to manage time effectively

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must pass the Drug Test.
  • Must pass the Background Check.
  • Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.
  • Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines is required: Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Psychology or Sociology.
  • This position requires bilingual language skills. Candidate must be fluent in both Spanish and English.
