Requirements

  • Previous recreation facilitation experience is desirable, but not required.
  • CPR/First Aid Certifications required.
  • Excellent guest service.
  • Clear and concise verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess a high level of concentration, self-motivation, the ability to multi-task and the drive to have fun.
  • Must have the ability to work independently.
  • Dependable and meets goals.
  • Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values.
  • Currently enrolled in middle/high school, high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand and talk or hear.
  • The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Minimum 14 years old. Minimum 18 years old to operate a bank.
  • Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule.
  • Non-smoking candidates preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working with children a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold and support recreation expectations Great Service, Quality Programming and Safe Recreation.
  • Assist department in minimizing liability and risk.
  • Follow activity standard operation procedures (SOPs) and uphold facilitation standards for Family Programs outlined in training.
  • Communicate, promote, sell and encourage all on and off site program participation.
  • Accurately oversee sales transactions when needed (cash, credit card, and room charge) from a mobile bank (18 years and up only).
  • Perform daily set up, end of day pick up, and cleaning/organization of recreational equipment.
  • Communicate any program suggestion, complaints and compliments to the Program Lead or a Manager in a timely manner.
  • Return program bins to proper storage area. Bins are clean and organized, accurately labeled, well stocked.
  • Interact and provide a safe, fun environment at all times.
  • Work special events and other programming as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
