About The Position

When families reach our Family Preservation team, they are in crisis, facing addiction, mental health challenges, housing instability, or the risk of losing their children to foster care. Our mission is simple and powerful: keep families together whenever safely possible. As a Family Preservation Specialist, you’ll provide intensive, home-based therapeutic services that empower parents, stabilize homes, and protect children. You won’t just manage cases. You’ll help break cycles and change futures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
2+ years of full-time experience in social work, counseling, or human services
Experience working with high-risk or multi-problem families
Strong crisis intervention, family systems, and therapeutic skills
Excellent documentation and organizational abilities
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurability
Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Deliver concentrated, short-term (15 -18 weeks) in-home therapeutic interventions to families at risk of out-of-home placement
Develop individualized, goal-focused service plans with families and referring agencies
Partner with DSS, Juvenile Justice, mental health providers, and community resources
Maintain a minimum caseload per state/county contracts
Provide 24/7 on-call support to assigned families (with arranged coverage when off duty)
Complete timely documentation, evaluations, and program reporting
Offer consultation to referring agencies when appropriate
Ensure compliance with ethical, legal, and clinical standards
