Dignity Health Medical Group – Ventura County, a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation, is a multi-specialty clinic with seven locations in Ventura County, offering an integrated care delivery system with high quality, compassionate care in various specialties. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), the role involves providing vital direct patient care, significantly contributing to patient well-being and recovery as an integral part of our compassionate healthcare team. Every day, you will assess patient conditions, administer medications, perform prescribed treatments, and meticulously document care. You will collaborate with RNs and physicians to implement individualized care plans, ensuring a seamless and high-quality patient experience. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient safety, and excellent communication. Your compassionate demeanor, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Satisfactory completion of a formal Licensed Vocational Nurse program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or military training that is equivalent to an accredited Licensed Vocational Nurse program (Determination made by Dignity Health Medical Foundation H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division) of Allied Health Professions.)
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA
  • Basic Life Support - CPR certification from the American Heart Association
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with CPT and ICD-9 coding procedures and reference tools, and pharmacology appropriate to the LVN Nurse scope of practice is essential to this position

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience in an outpatient setting as a Licensed Vocational Nurse is preferred for this position
  • Familiarity with an electronic practice management system
