As a Family Peer Support Specialist at Alexander Youth Network, you will provide structured, person-centered family-driven support to families navigating the challenges of raising children with behavioral health needs. Drawing from your lived experience as a parent/caregiver of a child with emotional, behavioral, social, developmental, or substance use challenges, you will serve as a bridge between professional services and family-centered care. Your role is critical in helping families develop self-advocacy skills, navigate complex systems, and build resilience through a strength-based approach. You will work one-on-one with caregivers of children or young adults (up to age 21) in their homes and community settings, providing mentoring, resource navigation, skills development, educational support, and advocacy development. Your authentic support will help promote self-determination and recovery while focusing on improving outcomes for youth involved in multiple systems. A full job description can be provided to interested/qualified candidates.
