About The Position

As a Family Peer Recovery Coach (PRC) , you will provide peer support to women and families impacted by opioid and other substance use disorders. Under the supervision of a Family Licensed Clinician, you will serve as a guide and role model from first program contact through long-term aftercare. You will advocate for women during interactions with benefits agencies, courts, child welfare, and other systems, helping them regain independence and mastery over their recovery process.

Requirements

Age: 18 years or older
Valid Driver’s License
Reliable transportation and ability to travel approximately 60% of work hours
Proof of current auto liability insurance (your name must be on the policy)
Acceptable driving record and background checks
Lived experience with a behavioral health diagnosis
At least 12 months (24–36 months preferred) of continuous recovery stability
Peer Support Specialist Certification

Responsibilities

Conduct outreach and education to medical and human service professionals about opioid resources for pregnant and parenting women.
Engage in outreach activities to connect with women using harmful substances, including opioids.
Provide interim support and resource acquisition for individuals seeking treatment.
Assist with intake and early treatment transition, serving as an advocate.
Facilitate peer support groups focused on empowerment, recovery, and self-advocacy.
Coach and mentor women in community settings to practice recovery skills.
Support post-discharge reintegration and access to community-based supports.
Help coordinate and monitor the Family Focused Recovery (FFR) program.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
