About The Position

Primary Responsibilities: As an Accounting Associate in our New York office, your responsibilities would include the following activities: Provide bookkeeping services for multiple clients including payroll, bill paying, coordinating with vendors, as well as general ledger postings, bank reconciliations and write-ups, mortgage applications, insurance placement and various ad hoc projects Provide business management, financial administration and financial concierge services for multiple clients which includes direct contact with clients and assisting them with their various needs Prepare client specific reports including financial statements and spending reports Assist with the forensic accounting for matrimonial actions and create presentations of findings for counsel and the court Create and maintain written procedures on all aspects of this position, including “what and how to” manuals for each client, while always working to improve efficiency and minimize errors Perform administrative functions and operational duties Support of other team members

Requirements

  • 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
  • Prior experience with a business management firm, family office or CPA firm is a MUST
  • Excels in a team-based, client-centric culture
  • Able to work independently on project type assignments
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks required
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Willingness to work until work is done
  • Excellent oral and written skills
