About The Position

The Staff Pad is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join a respected Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the Ontario community. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative clinical environment focused on delivering high-quality primary care to a diverse patient population. Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner is an integral member of the clinical care team, providing comprehensive primary care services to patients and families in a patient-centered environment. The role involves performing health assessments, diagnosing and treating conditions, prescribing medications, and coordinating care with specialists when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner program (Master’s preferred)
  • Current California RN and Nurse Practitioner license
  • Specialty certification
  • Current DEA license
  • CPR certification as a healthcare provider
  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations
  • Commitment to providing respectful and compassionate care

  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive, high-quality, and cost-effective primary care services to a diverse patient population.
  • Perform health assessments and physical examinations for adults and children.
  • Develop treatment plans and collaborate with patients and families to establish self-management goals.
  • Prescribe medications and order necessary diagnostic or screening tests.
  • Coordinate and refer patients for specialty care when needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and protect patient health information.
  • Submit appropriate billing codes reflecting diagnosis and nature of the visit.
  • Participate in safety programs and emergency response initiatives when assigned.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and development of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Complete all required trainings and organizational requirements.
