Requirements

Active medical license in Maryland (FNP, CRNP, PA, PMHNP, etc.)
One year of experience in a substance use disorder treatment setting

Nice To Haves

Direct clinical training and work in the areas of substance use disorder treatment.

Responsibilities

Include doing history and physicals, reviewing labs, monitoring blood levels, sick calls, and preparing discharges (physician orders, scripts if you have prescriptive authority).
Provide support and resources to the adult residential program and detox as needed.
Coordinate (with the help of the nursing staff) with the primary care physician when appropriate.
Work with the nursing staff to ensure the medications are cost-effective for the client after discharge and complete prior authorization requests for medications.
Be responsible for coordinating and completing the peer review process.
Coordinate with the psychiatrist for medication and treatment of the client.
Other duties as assigned.
