Duke's Department of Family Medicine and Community Health is seeking a full-time, board-certified Family Physician (MD or DO) to join our innovative, team-based practice in Durham, NC. Work in a teaching environment with learners, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Participate in inpatient obstetrics care with support from Duke OB/GYN and newborn nursery including: Call 1 day/week and 1 weekend/month for the family medicine continuity deliveries working with residents as first call Lead a team care for newborns at Duke Regional Hospital often working with APP and resident to round on all the babies in the full-term nursery Provide outpatient care including Cradle to grave primary care Opportunities to work clinically providing Centering Pregnancy and Parenting, prenatal care, some procedures, etc Practice at one of the largest primary care sites in the region , with: ~25,000 visits annually ~15,000 patient panel (50% commercial, 50% governmental) Group prenatal and well-child visits What We Offer Opportunity to shape the future of primary care through innovation and research.
