Buckingham is less than an hour from Charlottesville, VA and the suburbs of Richmond, VA. Centra Medical Group (CMG) is a comprehensive network of nearly 600 employed providers within Centra Health. CMG is also home to the Lynchburg Family Medicine Residency, a training program for future family physicians, many of whom hold academic appointments with institutions like UVA, VCU, VCOM, and Liberty University. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program, and Masters of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN)
• Current licensure by the Virginia State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority
• Maintains BLS and ACLS Certifications
• Hold a current, active license as a registered nurse in Virginia or hold a current multistate licensure privilege as a registered nurse

• Our ideal candidate will be an FNP with primary care experience treating all ages
• New grads with a passion for learning & growing will also be considered

Responsibilities

• Monday-Friday, 8am – 5pm
• Patient volume expectation of 18 patients/day once fully ramped up
• Position will provide care for patients across the life span.
• Performs health assessments, follow-up exams for acute & chronic disease management, order & interpret diagnostic tests, medication management
