About The Position
Family Law Associate Attorney –| $140k-$152k| California (hybrid) A respected, multi-service California law firm is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney with 4+ years of experience to join its established Family Law practice. The team advises clients on a wide range of family law matters and is known for its thoughtful advocacy, strong courtroom presence, and collaborative culture. Aligned Talent Acquisition has teamed up with Paraform on this opportunity. The firm’s San Jose office is seeking a mid-level Family Law Associate to join its growing Family Law group. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on sophisticated family law matters, including complex financial issues and contested proceedings, in a collegial and supportive environment. This is a full-time position based in San Jose, California.
Requirements
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the State Bar of California
- 4+ years of experience practicing family law in a private firm setting
- Demonstrated ability to manage client matters independently
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills, particularly in court settings
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with attorneys, experts, and support staff
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in all aspects of family law matters, including complex financial disputes, custody matters, and domestic violence cases
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and other legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Prepare for and participate in settlement negotiations, mediations, hearings, and trials
- Work with experts and other professionals to develop case strategy
- Collaborate closely with colleagues within the family law group to achieve favorable client outcomes
- Participate in ongoing professional development and community engagement
