About The Position

As a Family Advocate for Indiana Donor Network, you will be responsible for initiating donation conversations with the families of potential donors in a critical care setting. You will respond to referrals from local hospitals to collect and communicate data, and evaluate referrals called in by hospital staff. You'll be given the opportunity to facilitate the donation process and support donor families, as needed. The position covers a large geographic territory located primarily in northern Indiana.

Requirements

• Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, or relevant education and experience in a social services or a clinical or related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in social work, medical social work, nursing and/or respiratory therapy would be helpful.
• Previous experience in crisis intervention, grief/loss, healthcare, or donation/transplantation is preferred.
