Seasonal Fair Maintenance Assistant
About The Position
Seeking TWO to FOUR seasonal workers to help maintain the Fair & Expo facilities and grounds during the summer months. This position’s duties include event setup and cleanup, operating equipment and tools, janitorial tasks, landscape maintenance, and other assignments as needed. Includes occasional weekends and holidays with overtime pay as required by law and county policy. Schedules: The immediate need includes 1-2 positions that will work full time from June to August and 1-2 positions for the week of the County Fair (July 22 – August 2). Please specify in your application materials if you are available to work June – August, or only the week of Fair.
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Oregon State Class C driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in maintenance, custodial work, or related field preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping techniques and equipment operation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate event schedules.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
