Requirements

  • Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field, and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation
  • Requires 2 years of experience in the following: Next Gen display drivers using test scripts
  • Cascade manual prober with photodiode, and spectrophotometer, including test scripts and data handling
  • I-V curve-tracer with High and Medium-power modules
  • Laser confocal optical microscope with automation stage to cater the required sample thicknesses, heights, and 3D roughness and topologies measurements
  • X-Ray (2D and 3D CT) to scan complex display modules, to identify issues with bond wires, Cu traces, and passive SMD components
  • Scanning Acoustic Tomography to scan wafers bonded to Silicon backplanes, to identify any delamination
  • Instrumentation for electrical fault isolation and root cause analysis
  • Instrumentation for physical structure and material composition failure analysis
  • Failure analysis using physical and elemental analysis tools, including Focused Ion Beam, Scanning Electron Microscopy, Energy Dispersive X-Ray, and Graphic Data System for pixellevel targeting
  • General failure analysis techniques, including Time Domain Reflectometry, Metallographic Cross-Sectioning, Reactive Ion Etching, ASAP milling, and mechanical lapping/delayering

Responsibilities

  • Perform solution-based root cause analysis on technically complex failures.
  • Identify and apply suitable approaches of characterization to address challenging technical problems across different areas.
  • Utilize cross-correlate of data from various techniques to converge towards a definitive conclusion, solution, and/or relevant hypothesis.
  • Hands-on work with various tools including non-destructive methods, 2D & 3D x-ray imaging, microscopy, spectroscopy, and electrical fault isolation techniques.
