About The Position

We seek a highly motivated, faculty-level (clinical track) candidate at the Assistant Member level with training in pediatric neurology. Candidate should have a strong interest in clinical care, health outcomes research and/or quality improvement. Subspecialty training is desirable, especially in neuro-oncology, epilepsy, neurophysiology, or sleep medicine. The Division of Neurology within the Department of Pediatric Medicine currently has one full-time and two part-time neurologist, one full-time advanced nurse practitioner, and a full-time research nurse. The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient neurological clinical care and is expected to develop collaborative research within the institution. He/she will also supervise and mentor visiting medical students and residents, and participate in institutional educational activities for nurses and fellows. This position will report directly to the Division Director of Neurology. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the long-term follow-up care of childhood cancer survivors attending the After Completion of Therapy Clinic, lead quality improvement initiatives to improve clinic operations, and collaborate with physicians conducting clinical and basic research investigations involving long-term childhood cancer survivors. The After Completion of Therapy Clinic provides follow-up care for eligible 5-year survivors of childhood cancer treated at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In addition, the clinic supports numerous research initiatives focused on characterizing and improving outcomes after childhood cancer.

Requirements

  • MD, MD/PhD or DO degree
  • Board certified or Board-eligible in pediatric neurology
  • Able to obtain a Tennessee Medical or DO License
