About The Position

The Department of Physical Therapy at Thomas Jefferson University invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position (all ranks considered) with expertise in teaching musculoskeletal physical therapy content and in treating individuals with musculoskeletal conditions. The successful candidate will serve as a member of the musculoskeletal team. Preference will be given to candidates who also hold a terminal academic degree (e.g., PhD, EdD, DSc); however, all qualified applicants are welcome to apply. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in the musculoskeletal course series and based on programmatic needs and content expertise. This position has scholarship and academic service responsibilities. Individuals must have demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion, exhibit collegiality and prioritize teamwork. The Department of Physical Therapy resides in Jefferson College of Rehabilitation Science. This is a salaried position with a generous benefit and retirement program. Requirements

  • Earned degree in Physical Therapy (e.g. DPT) from an accredited college or university.
  • Board certified orthopedic or sports clinical specialist (OCS, SCS
  • Experience working with orthopedic populations across the lifespan and in the management of individuals with musculoskeletal conditions.
  • Current physical therapy license in Pennsylvania or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
  • Prior teaching experience in an entry-level DPT educational program.
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion
  • Exhibit collegiality and prioritize teamwork.
